I am a 66 year old Woman; a Mother, GrandMother, and Great-GrandMother. I am privileged to share my path to Earth Mama Mountain. Several months ago I experienced my Ceremony with Elissa. I was warmed by the beautiful setting, and I was touched by the considerations for all my senses. The elements of intuitively woven music, singing, instruments…all created by Elissa to support and encourage me throughout the Ceremony.

Along the way many intentions were explored. I was very happy to see the sweet child of myself who was entranced by her Natural World; she had an innate knowing of the tangible connections to everything around and within us. …the time I was still in a state of opiate withdrawal. I did two sessions and not only were they an eye opening experience, but afterwards I had a renewed sense of being, which gave birth to my sobriety. This made each chakra come alive for me as I learned it, and each week was an adventure to explore. She sent wonderful links to videos that I enjoy and share with others frequently. During the program, Elissa and I met together on a weekly video chat. She supported me as I eliminated pharmaceutical antidepressants that I had taken for forty years. She worked incredibly closely with me to clear complex trauma that I have held for over fifty years. I cannot overstate the significance of her love and her support. The ceremonial space being located in the heart of nature was an integral component of proper setting. I was in awe of the surroundings before, during and after the ceremony. In short, Elissa provided and guided set and setting perfectly. I had been struggling with suicide for years caused by trauma endured from childhood and my years in a war zone as an adult. Elissa’s ceremony connected me with the most important aspects of my being on the deepest level I have ever experienced. I became intimately attuned with my emotions and the emotions of my loved ones. Elissa harnessed my intentions, paired with the medicine and gave me a beautiful outlook on life. The journey continues after ceremony and Elissa’s support was amazing. I have faith in myself, in the medicine, and in Elissa. Elissa expressed appreciation, gratitude and genuine enjoyment after reaching out to her in our first few conversations. Her excitement for my participation was unlike other interactions I’ve had with providers and it helped turn my initial anxiety into excitement of my own and cemented the idea I was on the right path in my journey.

Upon initial reception, her excitement, appreciation and confidence settled any last minute anxiety and I began to feel the excitement throughout my body. I truly felt I was exactly where I needed to be.

While I didn’t have a lot of initial questions, Elissa answered the few I did have and allowed the conversation to flow. I never felt that anything I was saying or asking was out of line, and she took what I said at face value. In my experience, sometimes clinical providers are searching for what they want to hear you say. Always trying to diagnose and match you up with the medications or treatments that best suit the far reaching symptoms conveyed. That is not the case with Elissa, and probably more productive to the entire experience. Just be you and she will guide you along the way.

On the day of the ceremony, Elissa answered any last minute questions which had come up the evening prior and we discussed my intentions. I was expecting a discussion on my intentions similar to what talk therapy would entail. At that point I began to realize Elissa was merely a guide, someone to support you and someone to provide insight or her own thoughts only when asked or when she actually felt as if she brought something valuable to the conversation. After all, this is about you and she’s just there to support you.

Overall, the ceremony was the single most impactful spiritual moment of my entire life. Elissa mentioned the medicine wouldn’t necessarily give you want you want, but it’ll give you what you need. The medicine definitely gave me what I needed and in a way unlike anything else I’ve experienced. As a combat veteran, I’ve faced my own share of near-death experiences. So needless to say, I already had a certain sense of appreciation for this life. But I was not living in alignment with my values. The experiences I’ve had in the military pale in comparison to this ceremony and experience and have given me the tools and clarity to make the necessary changes to live in alignment.

The reintegration call is where it all came together. Elissa and I discussed the life events which led me to find her, what I experienced during the ceremony and my intentions moving forward. She shared what she felt during the ceremony and all of it made sense in a way which I haven’t experienced in the past. She offered advice and support throughout and resources afterwards which have helped reintegration and a new found interest in myself – me. I’m incredibly grateful for the journey I am on as myself, Elissa’s journey and for the medicine.
